Following four successful seasons with the club, Sussi Maguire rejoins the Leicester Riders as Mentor for the team for 2015/2016.

Coach Maguire boasts an illustrious professional career, playing in multiple countries spanning over three decades. Sussi made her debut for the Solna Vikings Div 1 Women’s team in Sweden at the age of 13 where she spent most of my playing career.  She was recruited to the Viking’s big rivals Alvik Basket for her last season before coming to the UK. At the age of 19 Sussi was voted Best Junior female player in Sweden and has 5 caps for her country.

Sussi moved to the UK to play for Crystal Palace women, after receiving offers from Lakeland College, Wisconsin and Ludwigsburg, Germany. Sussi then transferred to Avon Northampton where she spent many years winning trophies on a regular basis, playing in four finals at Wembley Arena. She then played in the European Cup in Prague and Madrid. After 33 years playing, Sussi retired at Leicester Ladies.
