Kiefer joined the Riders ahead of the 2017-18 season following a strong senior year with Canisius College in Buffalo averaging an impressive 10.9 points per game as well as 2.7 assists.
The British-Canadian guard shot a team high 50.2% from the field in his final season at Canisius, a stat that saw him ranked eighth in the MAAC (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).
Kiefer started 33 of the 34 games he played in averaging 28 minutes, he shot a season high of 22 points on the road at Saint Peter’s. Before Canisius, Douse played one season at Jacksonville College in Texas before he an signed NLI to join the program in April 2015. He made 22 starts from 31 games for Jacksonville (an NAIA school), averaging 8.6 points and an impressive 77.6 percent from the line. Before Jacksonville, Toronto-born Kiefer spent the 2013-14 season at Concordia-Irvine in California.
Kiefer had an extremely successful first professional season with the Riders last season starting in 22 of the teams 30 BBL championship games on the way to a BBL League title to go with the BBL Trophy and Playoffs too.
Douse contributed 7.67 points, 1.8 reounds and 3.7 assists a game whilst shooting 45% from the field in his Rookie season.
