Point guard Neil Watson is looking forward to his second season at the Riders and thinks that the returning players can give an edge in the battle for trophies.

“I thinks it’s very important our entire core is returning,” reflected Watson. “I believe it will give us a huge advantage going into the season with our chemistry being so high coming in.”

“I’ve been in touch with the entire team and speak to them 2-3 times every couple of weeks. We are positive as a group and aiming to win some silverware.”

Watson led the league in assists last year and has enjoyed the summer break so far but it hasn’t all been relaxing.

“I have been training while I have been home. It’s been good to be back in America so I can enjoy some time with my family and friends over here before returning to Leicester.”

After increasing the season ticket sales last season by 17%, reports this season suggest that percentage has increased further with figures on season ticket sales due to be released in the week.

“It’s amazing that ticket sales have increased by a considerable amount again this season. Hopefully they increase more and people come out and watch.”

“We are all aiming for this side to be one of the best to wear the Riders kit.”
