The Loughborough Riders Select team representing the UK at the Jump 10 World Hoops Challenge in Shanghai, China have secured a top two finish in the Group.

The UK opened with one of the toughest opponents on paper in Mexico, a well structured team taking time out of their own league to be at the tournament, but after a slow start Lucien Christofis drained a deep three to get the Brits going.

A well balances scoring attack saw the British team take victory in the first set before falling in the second set and then a struggle to score in the very brief overtime period losing in overtime.

Game two saw Great Britain guard Andrew Lawrence take over the play with multiple big shots whilst London City Royal forward anchored the middle to help produce a stronger defence performance for the team taking both sets.

Japan felt the UK in full flow in the third game of the tournament as the brits secured two quick first to 15 wins and set up action on the final day of competition for the Brits.

The final day of the tournament sees three wins between the teams and the $100,000 grand prize.
