“I’m very excited to be a part of Riders nation,” De Thaey commented. “I can’t wait to go to work with the rest of the guys!”
“I’m looking forward to have a great season collectively and our goal should be to bring a championship to Leicester again.
“I feel I can bring experience to the team but also toughness and hard work. The fans can expect an all around game as I’m just trying to make decisions based on what the defense gives me”
Head Coach Rob Paternostro is pleased to see De Thaey join the team
“He is a talented player with good experience in a very good Belgian league and we feel that those skills translate well to the BBL.
“We had the opportunity to watch him up close in pre-season last year and were very impressed with how he played. He is a physical player with good athleticism who does a great job on the boards.
“He has shown the ability to be able to score from all over the court and can be used in different ways.”
