Leicester Riders needed a late surge to move to 4-1 in the WBBL with a 65-76 win on the road at the Oakland Wolves.

Oaklands deservedly led at the half and proved problematic for 3 quarters with Rachel Morris (17) being a constant thorn in the Riders defence with her inside presence.

However Riders blew the game open with a 16-2 run in the fourth quarter with Dee Hayward & Megan Jones hitting back to back triples as the defence also stepped up a notch.

Riders were led by Jamila Thompson who had a huge game with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 steals.
Hayward gave able support with 17 points and a Brandholm 3 pointer late on sealed the victory and meant all 11 Riders were on the scoresheet.

The WBBL takes a break next week due to GB commitments but the Riders will return to action the week after with a huge game away to Nottingham Wildcats.
