Leicester Riders took victory over USA Select, 113-100, this Friday night as the team continue their preparations for the British Basketball League season.

The Riders took a small lead to start the game but a resilient USA Select side continued to pressure the Riders, staying within touching distance throughout a highly entertaining offensive display. Riders were able to outlast the visitors with four player moving to 20+ scoring to take a 113-100 victory.

Coach Paternostro recognises that the team need to dial in defensively as preparations continue.

“It was a great game in here for the fans tonight, an incredible shoot performance from both sides but we need to continue to build our defence as we go forwards.

“For us we need to get in better condition, we were better than last week but we are moving forwards which is great.”

Josh Ward-Hibbert led the scoring with 29 points, whilst Namon Wright added 25 with Jamell Anderson and Andy Thomson adding 21 each in the high scoring affair.
