Leicester Riders took victory over the Plymouth Raiders in the BBL Championship to improve to 4-1 in the league to start the season!

Leicester Riders kept their cool to earn a hard fought 75-73 victory over Plymouth Raiders in a thrilling Championship encounter.

The home side executed on both ends of the floor, in the final minutes, to see off a spirited effort by the visitors.

Andrew Thomson caught fire down the stretch, scoring 9 points in a row to give the home side a crucial 5 point advantage. The lead proved pivotal in a back and forth contest that could have gone either way.

Andy Thomson led the Riders with 20 points and 6 rebounds whilst J.R. Holder added 17 points for the home side. Former Riders guard Neil Watson poured in 21 points for the visitors.
