Leicester Riders continued their winning run with a hard-fought victory on the road against Bristol Flyers.
J.R Holder exploded out the games with a thunderous dunk and the team’s first six points to get the Riders going early in the game.
The home team trailed by nine at the half but were able to fight back into the game in the third until Riders regained control with a 7-0 burst and were able to maintain their advantage until the buzzer, despite Bristol’s late 3-point barrage.
Rob Paternostro’s side improve to a 7-1 mark in the BBL Championship having now beaten the Flyers in all 11 meetings between the two sides. Elsewhere Newcastle Eagles suffered their second Championship loss of the season.

JR Holder top scored with 23 points in the win with Andy Thomson producing another key display off the bench in his 200th BBL Championship appearance with 14 points without a miss from the field. Riders big man Shane Walker poured in 13 points as well as 6 assists in the victory.
