Rob Paternostro’s side have a slender two-point advantage to take back home ahead of Sunday’s Second Leg on BBC Sport.
As the occasion dictates, it was a tense affair with both defences on top early on before both sides began to find their range from downtown. Plymouth had the biggest lead of the game at 7, but the First Leg went down to the wire and Anderson’s go-ahead triple late in the game gave the visitors the edge.
The home side were restricted to 37% shooting from the floor with the Riders hitting some big threes in the fourth as they improved their outside shooting to finish 7 of 22 after a slow start.
Williams battled away inside for a team-high 19 points, while Holder went 3 of 6 from 3-point range in his 18 points and Anderson came up with big plays for the Riders including the aforementioned triple late in the fourth.
Hear from Head Coach Paternostro on his thoughts on the game.
