Leicester Riders are set to take on the Newcastle Eagle as the festive period continues as the team resume league action looking ahead to the new year.

The Eagles enter the game with a 7-5 record, games ahead of the Riders but with three more losses than the Riders (Riders sit at 2 losses in the league) so both teams will be geared up for a tough game this Friday at the Morningside Arena.

The Riders took the first meeting of the two sides on the road at Sports Central in the league before the Eagles got revenge in the BBL Cup to knock the Riders out of the competition at the Morningside Arena.

Eagles guard Rahmon Fletcher leads the league in assists per game with 9.5 with Victor Moses leading his side in points (18.9) and rebounds (8.7), while DeAndre Burnett and JR Holder are both averaging above 17 points per game for the defending league champions.

Riders are coming off a tough loss in Manchester that knocks them out of the Trophy for the first time in over four years so will be ready and set to bounce back for a great game with the Eagles!
