The Leicester Riders took time out of their Christmas break ahead of Christmas time overtime home victory to spread some Christmas cheer in Leicester this week as they took a visit to the wards at Leicester’s Children’s hospital.
Head Coach Rob Paternostro and a number of the Riders players took time to deliver Riders gift and tickets in present bags to the patients through the morning whilst meeting a number of fans for photographs along the route through the hospital.
“It is always great when you have a chance to give back to the local community,” commented Managing Director Russell Levenston who joined the group on the visit. “It was great to see the players interacting with the children in hospital, it was an emotional visit but seeing the reactions of the children ahead of Christmas was excellent.”
The Riders will be supporting fundraising for the children’s department for A&E at Leicester Royal Information the Riders vs Force game on December 30th so be sure to give generously at the game this evening.
