Leicester Riders women completed a double-winning weekend to stay ahead at the top of the WBBL Championship, after beating Cardiff Met Archers emphatically 84-59 on Sunday.
That followed another comprehensive win on the road at arch rivals Nottingham Wildcats, 78-47 on Saturday afternoon.
At Cardiff, the Archers made a bright start to lead by six after the first quarter, but the Riders began to turn the tide with 27 points in the second quarter, to take a narrow 42-41 lead at the half time break.
Riders then dominated the third quarter, which proved decisive as they took control to see out the win.
Riders shared an impressive 27 assists in the win and were efficient inside the 3-point line, with 59% shooting, to overcome their slow start.
Trophy Final MVP Kate Oliver netted 26 points off the bench, and Rebecca Navarro posted 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
Mollie Campbell also weighed in with a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds.
At Nottingham, the Wildcats edged a close opening period 18-15.
But Riders began the second period with a 10 to 2 run to take control and led 46-28 at halftime.
Riders forced Nottingham into coughing up 19 turnovers, collecting 11 steals in the process, and Leicester made the most of the extra possessions, netting 17 points from those turnovers.
Kate Oliver again scored a game-high 21 points, while Jen Ashton contributed 20 points and added 10 rebounds, seven assists and five steals.
