The semi-final saw the Riders come out firing against the home town, and reigning British Basketball All-Stars Champions, London Lions to take a ten point victory and book a place in the grand final of the one day showcase.

Leicester continued the hot shooting to begin the game however the Surrey Scorchers, boosted by the MVP level play of British forward Jordan Williams, were able to create key scores in the power play and lead the game late in regulation. Riders were able to force overtime but William came up with a big play to take the lead and Riders were not able to convert on 3 chances to tie the game, falling 33-36.
