Riders face Raiders for Place in BBL Cup Final

The Leicester Riders face their biggest game of the season to date as they attempt to book their place in the BBL Cup Final. Leicester take a six point lead in to the second leg this Saturday at the John Sandford Centre.

The Riders will be looking to make it to their fifth consecutive finals appearance follow the tremendous success of last season. Riders will carry a six point lead into the second leg following a good performance from the team on the road. Riders will be looking for more of the same from Jay Couisnard poured in 21 points and 12 rebounds in the first leg match up.

“We are all excited for Saturday, playing a big game in front of our home fans at the John Sanford Centre is something we are all looking forward to.”

Coach Paternostro is looking forward to the weekend’s game and the chance to play in front of the big John Sandford Centre crowd.

Plymouth have added Great Britain veteran Nick George to the roster ahead of this weekend’s second leg. Plymouth are hoping that George will slot into the line up quickly to help the team on the road.

Coach Marriott commented on the recent signing.

“I’m confident that he’ll slot very nicely into the team. He arrived in Plymouth on Wednesday afternoon, so he’s had a number of practices with the guys already.”
