Leicester Riders completed pre-season action with victory over Hemel Storm in a last minute chance to scheduled match up with Plymouth Raiders.
Riders took a 94-54 victory over the Hemel Storm to close out pre-season action ahead of the start of the BBL Championship and the Betway All-Stars this weekend at the O2 Arena.
Riders established themselves early in the game and did not look back against the short-handed Storm side. Storm’s re-surgency in the second quarter was quickly met by the home side who lead the game form the opening tip.
The final pre-season game saw Eric Robertson lead the Riders scoring with 21 points whilst J.R. Holder poured in 20 points of his own. Charnwood’s Niall Harris grabbed an impressive 8 points of his own in limited time whilst Marcus Quirk also impressed crowds off the bench.
Greg Durand, Joe Bielak and Jacob Davenport also all made their debut with the Riders senior team, received by a warm welcome from the home crowd featuring many fellow Charnwood College Riders teammates.
A huge thanks was expressed at the game and online to Hemel Storm for stepping in to fulfil the fixture on short notice whilst also lacking a number of players. The team and the players were well received by the Riders fans throughout the preseason event.

Next Riders home action will be the opening game of the regular season as the Riders take on the Bristol Flyers on October 6th at Leicester Arena.
