Leicester Riders have signed up-and-coming Brit Raheem May-Thompson for the upcoming season.
The London born wing will join the Riders following an impressive season with NBL Division One’s Derby Trailblazers in which he averaged 17.2 points and 7.4 rebounds pre game.
Raheem grew up in Liverpool before he made the jump to the US to attend DeMatha Catholic High School, one of the most prestigious high school programmes in the US, and then transferred to Towson Catholic High School to finish his high school career.
Following his Senior season at Towson, May-Thompson opted to attend Quinnipiac University in Connecticut where he played two seasons and transferred to Stonehill Skyhawks for the remainder of his college career.
The 6’6″ wing now turns his attention to developing his game for the professional level, joining the Riders for their pre-season bouts against Loughborough University and USA Select.
Coach Paternostro is excited for the what the future will bring for Raheem May-Thompson.
“Raheem is talented young player that works hard and we feel like can be an asset to our program for the future. Over the last few weeks he has impressed us and we feel like he can really develop as a player here.”
