Leicester Riders are due to enter the new season at the Morningside Arena with three important changes for you to know about!
We have undergone some changes over the summer which will mean some minor changes to the parking and entry procedures here at the Morningside Arena for Leicester Riders home games.
The entrance to the building for pre-bought ticket holders will be at the end of the building to the right hand side (entrancing from the gravel carpark end). Please follow the directional signage on the front of the building.
For 1967 club tickets, ticket collection and ticket purchases, please proceed to the ticket office in reception.
Entrances with bags – Food and Drink
This season the Morningside Arena will be operating bag searches on arrival to the venue for Riders games as it does with all it’s other events.
All fans, visitors including staff and contractors will be subject to a bag search before permitted entry onto the premises. No food or drink will be allowed on site except those who have pre-arranged it with the venue.
External food and drink will not be permitted to the Arena this season.
Parking changes to come into affect from Sept 20th game onwards.
Parking for specific areas designated as below. There will no longer be a flow through from the Charter street entrance by car other than to access the 1967 club or Season ticket holder car parks.
The Morningside Arena has limited parking on site, and will be accessible as follows:
The parking spaces directly at the front of the arena – reserved for 1967 Club Members with your pass needing to be shown for entry.
Disabled badge holder spaces – in the front of the building will remain accessible for any disabled badge holder on a first come first served basis.
Gravel car park – Season Ticket Holders on a first come first served basis subject to availability – season ticket to be shown for entry.
All other parking for any other ticket holder is situated in the college car parks located via Memory Lane, and cannot be accessed via Charter Street. As in the past, additional parking on the industrial estate will be available on a first come first served basis.
The Morningside Arena is also a 5 minute walk from the city centre so is also extremely accessible for people coming via bus or train as well as other public car parks.
