Women’s Head Coach Matthew Harber has been named Head Coach of the England U15 Development Programme for the upcoming season.

The appointment is Coach Harber’s fourth National Teams role following coaching the England Women’s side in the World 3×3 Championships in Athens and more recently as Assistant Coach of the England U16 Girls this summer.

The U15 Development Squads are one of the stages on the Performance Pathway for players and coaches. They are designed to prepare potential U16 National Team players with training and overseas tournament opportunities. A squad of players are selected each year to participate in training camps and games against international opponents as one of the steps towards national representation at European Championships.

Coach Harber is excited to continue his growth within the National Teams programme.

“It has been one of my main ambitions to be a Head Coach within the British National Teams Performance Pathway and it is a complete privilege to have been offered this position at this point in my coaching career.

I’m very passionate about the development of British Basketball, particularly the growth of the women’s game. The U15 Development Programme will give me a fantastic opportunity to influence the youth and future of our National Teams programme and I’m excited for the opportunities that lie ahead.”
