Lucien Christofis will join Swedish team Nassjo for the upcoming 2019/20 season.
Christofis, who spent the last four seasons with Loughborough Riders, was named MVP in both of this seasons’ NBL National Cup and BUCS Finals in his final year as a student.
“I have had a great time at Loughborough and it’s time for me to take the next steps in my career and this new opportunity out in Sweden,” commented the Loughborough College graduate.
“Loughborough has been great for me, it is a fantastic set-up with good people around the programme. I can only thank them for all they have done.”
Christofis, who hails from Brighton, is the second player in as many seasons to sign abroad having graduated from Loughborough, Max Richardson signed for Norwegian champions Kongsberg Miners last year.
“I’m really excited about this new challenge. I have spoken with a couple of guys who played in the Swedish league last year. They all speak highly of Nassjo.”
“I have heard great things about the club and the fans there. I’m looking forward to playing in front of them and can’t wait to get started.”
Christofis is due to fly to Sweden in August to join the teams’ pre-season.
