Leicester Riders have moved to add American big Darien Nelson-Henry head of action this weekend in the British Basketball League.
American big man Darien Nelson-Henry joins the roster shortly after the British-Canadian big Mo Walker was ruled out for the season.

“I am extremely excited to have signed with the Riders,” commented Nelson-Henry. “Not only have I heard many positive things, but I’m seeing and experiencing them in my first days here as well. I can’t wait to become a part of such a respected and decorated programme.”
Talking on the the season Darien is looking forward to getting into the Morningside Arena and feeding off the Riders fans.
“Crowd energy and support plays a huge roll in the teams performance. The fans can expect a lot of hard-nosed, physical play from me this season. I love to win, and will battle every game to make sure that’s possible.”
Nelson-Henry comes into the team following a successful season in Austria last year averaging 8.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game helping the team to multiple pieces of silverware, after a big season averaging a huge 19.8 points and 11.9 rebounds.
“This past season in Austria we were able to win the Cup, Super Cup and Championship. Last season prepared me even more to win at a high level.
“Playing for a prestigious club like Leicester is what every player hopes for, and I know I will be able to carry over the winning mentality here in order to continue hanging banners.”
Zoran Talley Jr has been released from the roster and the Riders wish him well with his basketball future.
