Leicester Riders forward Jamell Anderson has returned to the Townsville Heat for the 2019 season in the Queensland Basketball League.
Anderson returns to the team he competed for in the summer of 2017 as the season is already running in Australia.
The Nottingham native is looking forward to the summer season and is hungry for more basketball after a successful end to the season with the Riders.
“I’m just very thankful for opportunities from this game,” commented Anderson. “Seeing the world and representing my family in basketball is amazing. Coming off the back of one heck of a journey with ups and downs and of course finishing with the playoff title has just left me hungry to keep playing.
“The people of Townsville are very much like the people in Leicester, caring and passionate.
“Thanks to the sponsors and support at the Riders my body and mind both feel great and ready to hit the ground running this summer.
“Massive thank you to all the good luck messages I’ve received, I head overseas wearing the Riders badge on my sleeve.”
Jamell joins Townsville after a 3-1 start to league play and will take the floor with the team this weekend which can be followed online by CLICKING HERE.
