Barry Lamble will return for a fifth season for the Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders after signing a contract for the 2010/11 campaign.
The 6’10” centre first joined the Riders in 2006 when he played alongside Coach Rob Paternostro. The play-caller has been delighted with Lamble’s contributions over the last two seasons that he has been in charge.
“Barry has been a valuable member of my team over the last two years,” he said. “He’s a skilled big man who has shown that he can contribute in many ways.
“Over the last two seasons he has made big plays in big games and has been able to step up when we have needed him most. He understands how things work here and he has been a great help to me during my time as coach.”
Last year he averaged 3.5 points and 3 rebounds per game. Prior to joining the Riders Lamble had spells with Birmingham, Worcester, Bath and Taunton.
Lamble has been a popular member of the Riders team in recent years, both on and off the court.
“Barry is a great teammate, who is fantastic in the locker room and the fans love him too, not just because he is a great guy, but because he has been a very good player for us
“He is a tough match-up for other players, has the ability to score in the post and has shown that he can be a good rebounder on both ends of the floor.”
