“We are all really excited for the game on October 26th,” commented Operations, Pathway and Marketing Manager Joe Pinchin on the event coming up.
“The celebration of Diwali in Leicester is one of the biggest in outside of India and we are pleased that we will be embracing the festival with a unique new kit design for the night, as well as a bunch of activations at the Morningside Arena for this special game.
“The night builds on the success of last season’s St Patrick’s Day uniforms and game day, but Diwali was a much more exciting concept for us to work on this season, it was the one way we wanted to go.
“Working with 5or6 on the design was a pleasure once again, and we are looking forward to sharing it with our fans and the people of Leicester over the coming two weeks.
“This uniforms becomes the third of the season, but we have one more to share soon that we are just as excited for so watch this space”
Diwali at the Riders is sponsored by quality medicine manufacturer and supplier, Morningside Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
Dr Nik Kotecha OBE, Chief Executive of Morningside Pharmaceuticals, said: “We’re delighted to be able to support this event, as Diwali is a special occasion, which brings people and families together in celebration.
“And what better way to do this than to watch the UK basketball champions, the Leicester Riders, take on the Manchester Giants, at the Morningside Arena, Leicester.
“As the Named Sponsor of the Morningside Arena, we’re proud of Leicester’s diversity and hope this event will bring a warm and vibrant glow to everyone attending.”
