“The first half we didn’t play as fast as we wanted and we weren’t connected properly on defence which resulted in Lancashire having too many points going in to half time. However, we picked ourselves up, stuck together and solid defence to the end of the game helped us come out with the win!” – Harriet Swindells
“Today I think we really showed how much heart we have. Even though things weren’t going our way and our shots weren’t falling we never gave up and kept fighting through it. I’m really proud of everyone for staying together and finding other ways to score to get the win. Special shout out to Harriet for hitting that crazy 3 pointer at the end!” – Kelsey Cuddy
“It was a tough game to overcome. We had a lot of mistakes in the first half, which gave the other team an advantage. After half time we regrouped as a team and played the way we wanted to play. Strong focus on defence saw us through the finish line. The girls have a great opportunity to bounce back against a good Oxford Brookes team tomorrow.” – Coach Krumesh
Charnwood will play away at Oxford Brookes tomorrow in their first cup of the season where they will be aiming to progress to the next round.
