Leicester Riders continue preparations for the upcoming BBL Season by signing six-foot American guard Brandon Clark out of Santa Clara University.
Brandon Clark, from East Chicago, Indiana, averaged 15.8 points per game alongside 3.9 assists and 3.7 rebounds in his final season at Santa Clara and joins the Riders as the second American signing of the summer.
Clark joins the Leicester Riders on a two-year deal and is expected to join the team ahead of pre-season in late-August.
“I feel honored and privileged to join such an elite organization,” commented Clark. “I look forward to my interactions with the coaches, teammates, and the community of Leicester.
“Fans can expect me to give my all on the court every time I put on a Riders kit. Off the court you can expect a lot of questions and interactions to learn the English culture and to share mine as well.
“I’m looking forward to bringing the community of Leicester cheers and joys from a great season of Riders basketball.”
Clark is expected to join the team ahead of pre-season in late-August to compete in preseason fixtures including the recently announced R3 Tournament on September 9th-11th at the Leicester Sports Arena featuring top teams from Belguim and Spain.
Leicester Riders’ Snapchat (@Ridersbball) held an exclusive short interview to announce the signing which will be available to view until 8pm GMT on July 26th.
