Leicester Riders have signed their second new player to the BBL roster in American guard Kyron Cartwright, a second year pro out of Providence.

Cartwright played in FIBA Europe Cup last season based in Hungary, averaging 7.7ppg and 4.1apg with Alba Fehervar in his first year as a professional player.

In college Cartwright ran the team for Providence averaging 11.8ppg and 5.8apg in his senior year helping the team to strong finish in a stacked Big East Conference.

“I wanted to be in Leicester,” commented Cartwright “I thought it was a great place to be with a lot of recent successes so it was a great opportunity.”

Cartwright joins the Riders roster alongside British quartet Jamell Anderson, Josh Ward-Hibbert, Jesse Chuku and Captain Andy Thomson as the team prepare for pre-season starting later in August.
