Riders players’ game worn RED shirts from the 2019-20 season will go on auction this Monday via the clubs’ online shop.
Riders are looking to raise funds for their charity, the Leicester Riders Foundation, to help sustain it through the corona virus pandemic and are asking for supporters to dig deep and bid if they can on their favourite players’ game worn shirt! The Foundation has continued to operate at a reduced level on education related projects for young people throughout the crisis.
Whether your favourite player is Jamell Anderson, Kyron Cartwright, Jesse Chuku or any other, be sure to get your bid in!
We asked the supporters on social-media on Wednesday to vote for which kit they wanted us to auction and they voted for our RED kit.
“The players’ jersey auction is usually a popular feature at our end of season Awards event so this year we’ve taken it online.” commented Russell Levenston.
“We have been overwhelmed by the support we have had in a difficult time for the sport in the UK given we’ve been unable to complete the BBL season. We’ve had fans phoning up asking to donate which has been incredible. We see this auction as a good way for those able to contribute to do so, whilst getting their hands on their favourite players’ jersey.”
The auction goes LIVE on the Riders website at 12pm on Monday 22nd June 2020.
