Leicester Riders bounced back from their BBL Cup Final disappointment with a 90-80 road win at Plymouth University Raiders.
Neil Watson netted 27 points in the win as the Riders improve to 13-1 in the BBL Championship with TrayVonn Wright adding a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double to help the visitors recover from a half-time deficit.
Riders made a strong start with Watson scoring eight early points in a 12-5 opening, which quickly became 20-9. Daryl Corletto netted back-to-back triples in an 8-2 response as the Raiders were only down by six at the end of the first.
Plymouth then went on an incredible 15-0 run at the start of the second period as they opened up a nine-point advantage. Wright finally ended the rot for the Riders past the midpoint of the quarter and they would go in to the break, down six.
The game was tied at 49 before Leicester edged ahead with a run of six unanswered points and that helped establish their lead heading into the fourth.
The Raiders moved back ahead on a Mike Vigor three to make it 74-72, but a 14-4 response from the Riders proved decisive as they took the victory.
