The primary role of the Supporters’ Club is to build closer links between the fans, players and coaches and to fundraise for the Leicester Riders to contribute to the Club’s growth and success.
Last season, with your help, the Supporters Club raised in excess of £40,000 through food and drink sales, the tuck shop and the 50/50.
This year, the supporters’ club will no longer provide hot food at games (this be run by the Arena staff), but tea, coffee and the tuck shop will continue along with the 50/50. If anyone would like to help on an ad-hoc basis please let us know.
More help means the regular volunteers get the opportunity to watch a game or two during the season! Our intention is to organise more in the way of social events and we hope this will encourage more fans to become more involved. These events will be a great way for supporters to socialise, and will be very well supported by the players and coaches.
If you would like more information, please have a word with one of the committee – Daren, Oz, Linda, Jan, Lisa and Sharon are always around on game nights – look out for the people in turquoise tops they are always happy to help and can point you in the right direction.
Follow the Supporters Club on Facebook or call the Riders office on 0116 2558635 if you are interested in any of the events. You will be made to feel very welcome!
