  The long summer break is drawing to its conclusion but for some, the gap between last season's play-off agony and this season's first pre season friendlies seems very short and incredibly hectic and stressful.

  Another split weekend last week saw Riders drop the Friday evening road game on Merseyside and then pick up the Saturday night home win at the JSSC with another impressive display on their own floor as they comfortably saw off the Worthing Thunder.
